Rain threatens the second T20I between India and South Africa, raising concerns about the series' second match.

India vs South Africa Live Score, 2nd T20I: Get all the latest updates and a full scorecard for the second IND vs SA T20I, which is being played at St George Park in Gqeberha.

South Africa versus India Live Result, 2nd T20I: The T20I series between India and South Africa should have begun by now, but the rain gods had other plans for the first match on Sunday. Consistent rain in Durban washed out the first T20I without a ball being bowled, effectively turning the series into a two-match affair. While the prospect of a 1-1 tie lingers, India and South Africa will be intensely motivated to achieve a result in today's second T20I at St George's Park, Gqeberha... assuming the weather permits. Unlike the Kingsmead Stadium a few days ago, Team India arrived in Gqeberha dry and hopeful that they would be in action, and thankfully, with dry weather awaiting, the much-anticipated match was able to take place.

The two Twenty20 Internationals are critical for India. There are five T20Is left for the players auditioning for the T20 World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are certain starters among the 15, as are Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav. With limited slots available and so many young players vying for them, time is running out for this group of players. Two games here, three against Afghanistan next month, and it's all over to the IPL, which will be the deciding factor once once more With so much to gain from the Australia series - Surya's captaincy, Ravi Bishnoi's emergence, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma's finishing exploits, and Arshdeep Singh's death-overs - India heads into the South Africa tour with a lot to gain.

It won't be easy for the players on the pitch today. Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja are expected to be automatic inclusions, which means Tilak Varma and Ruturaj Gaikwad will be rested. As the wicketkeeper batter, Ishan Kishan will be preferred over Jitesh Sharma. So far, no news of injury has emerged from the Indian contingent in Gqeberha, increasing the likelihood of this Playing XI. However, many World Cup stars will return to this squad, including Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and the previously mentioned quartet of Gill, Iyer, Jadeja, and SKY. And the fact that this venue has historically favoured fast bowlers. Siraj, Arshdeep, and most likely Mukesh Kumar will be present.

South Africa's first match since the heartbreak of the World Cup semi-final is this one. As with India, many Proteas from that squad are expected to play in today's game. David Miller and Aiden Markram. Marco Jansen, Heinrich Klaasen, Keshav Maharaj, Tabraiz Shamsi, Gerald Coetzee, and Tristan Stubbs round out the cast. The last time these two teams met was on November 2nd at Eden Gardens. Virat Kohli hit his 49th ODI century as India bowled South Africa out for 83, winning by 243 runs. However, today's conditions will be nothing like they were in Kolkata. South Africa is fast and bouncy, and you can count on Coetzee and Lizaad Williams to make the Indian batters hop and jump.

Surprisingly, India has only played six T20Is on South African soil, including their first-ever match in 2006. They did, however, defeat South Africa in both bilateral T20Is, 1-0 in 2011 and 2-1 in 2018. Will they make it a hat-trick?
